What can I expect in a Gravity Fitness class?

The classes start with a light warm up and dynamic stretch. Next up is forty minutes of drills comprising of calisthenic exercises, capoeira and yoga. Don’t worry if you haven’t done any of this before, your trainer Gabriel will be able to demonstrate clearly and adjust the class to suit your body.

Calisthenic exercises consist of a variety of simple often rhythmical movements, generally without using equipment or apparatus. They are intended to increase body strength and flexibility, with movements such as bending, jumping, twisting, kicking using only your body weight as resistance.

Classes are divided into seasonal cycles, focusing on five different aspects of fitness; cardio-respiratory endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, body composition and flexibility.

Clients often choose to do the class barefoot or with Vibram shoes (Five toe shoes) to facilitate muscle awakening and neuro-system contractions.
